A Hennepin County jury recently convicted a Minnesota man of first- and second-degree murder for fatally shooting his wife in Eden Praire hotel room in 2o21.

According to CBS, a criminal complaint states Eden Prairie police went to a hotel room for a welfare check on November 2, 2021.
When the Eden Prairie police arrived, the Minnesota man was seen coming downstairs from the two-story room covered in blood, seemingly in medical distress from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he told medical staff that he had shot himself.
The officers found the wife dead upstairs with a gunshot wound to the chest and a child in a crib soiled in urine.
Minnesota Man Convicted of Murder by Hennepin County Jury
According to KSTP-TV, the Minnesota man, namely, Ryan Charles Rooney, has been convicted by a Hennepin County jury of first- and second-degree murder for fatally shooting his wife at Eden Prairie hotel on November 2, 2021.
Initially, the Minnesota man was charged with second-degree murder and child endangerment. However, the charges were later amended.
The Minnesota man faces life in federal prison with the possibility of release after 30 years.
