USS Carney, a guided-missile destroyer, recently demonstrated its monstrous capabilities off the coast of Yemen as it struck down several missiles and drones, showcasing its readiness to defend against threats.
Guided-Missile Destroyer Struck Down Missiles and Drones that Lasted for Nine Hours
According to Task and Purpose, the US Navy guided-missile destroyer successfully intercepted and shot down four cruise missiles and 15 drones.
The report stated that the shooting down the missiles and drones with the use of the guided-missile destroyer lasted for nine hours, which was said to be far longer than what the Pentagon initially stated.
Although shooting down the missiles and drones of the enemies lasted for nine hours, USS Carney, the guided-missile destroyer, still showcased its capabilities and its readiness against threats.

Incident Involving USS Carney, Guided-Missile Destroyer, Reportedly Missiles and Drones Heading Toward Israel
According to CNN, the incident that involved the guided-missile destroyer USS Carney, occurred on Wednesday, where several missiles and drones were reportedly heading to Israel by traversing Suez Canal.
Press Secretary Brigade General Pat Ryder from the Pentagon stated at the briefing that Iranian-backed Houthi forces in Yemen fired the missiles and were potentially targeting Israel.
The interception of the US with the use of the guided-missile destroyer was said to be extremely rare, given that the Israel and Hamas conflict have intensified.
