A landlord from Illinois allegedly stabbed a mother and child who were his tenants, which resulted in the child’s death.

According to HuffPost, a mother and a child, namely Hanaan Shahin (32) and Wadea (6), were fatally stabbed in Plainfield, Illinois, for being Muslims.
A landlord from Illinois was charged with a hate crime for stabbing his tenants for being a Muslim. According to the police, the mother opened the door for the landlord, Joseph Czuba, on Saturday morning and was choked and attempted to stab her. Czuba was reportedly heard shouting that Muslims must die before stabbing the mother and child using a 12-inch serrated military-style knife.

According to CNN, the mother and child that was recently stabbed were Palestinians who came to America seeking refuge to live, learn, and pray in peace. However, the felonious act of the landlord appears otherwise.
The 6-year-old child was reportedly stabbed 26 times, resulting in his death, while the mother, who was stabbed over a dozen times, is expected to survive.
The President and the First Lady of America were shocked and sickened by this news and offered their condolences to the family of the mother and child in a statement released by the White House.
