According to SCNOW, a Colorado police officer was found guilty of homicide and third-degree assault on Thursday.
The Colorado police officer’s felonious acts resulted in the death of a Black man named Elijah McClain, who was put in a neck hold while he was pinned to the ground and was given an overdose of the sedative ketamine by paramedics.
Colorado police officer Randy Roedema faces up to three years in prison on the more serious homicide charge.

According to KCRA, McClain had been stopped by Colorado police officer Roedema after being reported as a suspicious person walking home from a convenience store. The verdict that the Colorado police officer received on Thursday has disappointed the victim’s mother, Sheneen McClain, as the Colorado police officer received a much lighter considering the felonies he had done.
