Police report that comedian Jeff Dye was arrested for driving under the influence and fleeing the scene of a single-car collision.
Comedian Jeff Dye Involved in Alleged Drunk Driving Incident; Collides with Tree and Flees Scene
According to The Messenger, comedian Jeff Dye, 40, who was one of the finalists on Season 6 of “Last Comic Standing” and is currently hosting a Fox daytime game show called “Who the BLEEP is That?” was reportedly driving under the influence, got into a collision with a tree, and left the scene without taking responsibility.
The Burbank Police Department confirmed that comedian Jeff Dye was the driver of the white Tesla that collided with a tree and fled on foot around 9:30 in the morning on Sunday.
Comedian Jeff Dye Arrested with DUI and Fleeing Scene
PEOPLE reports that Sgt. Stephen Turner, a public information officer with Burbank police, responded to the accident of the comedian Jeff Dye and arrested the man based on a witness description of the incident and locating comedian Jeff Dye.
Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured during the collision. Comedian Jeff Dye’s lawyer stated that people must respect his privacy as this is also a traumatic event for the comedian. While the incident has not been thoroughly investigated, comedian Jeff Dye is still presumed innocent.
