Mark Winger, a gun store employee, was formally charged with murder last Thursday for fatally shooting a robber who attempted to steal money at the Carter’s Country store in Houston.
Mark Winger Killed Gun Store Robber
CW39 reports that Mark Winger, 58, a gun store employee, fatally shot an alleged shoplifter in Houston back in June 2022.
According to the surveillance footage of the incident from June 2022 at Carter’s Country Store between Mark Winger, the employee of the gun store, and the robber, Terry Evans Jr., Evans was seen in the footage going to the cash register and seemed to take something out of it when the employee appeared.
Evan was later seen running into the parking lot where Mark Winger shot him. The robber was taken to a hospital nearby after he was fatally shot, and that is where he later died.

Mark Winger Formally Charged with Murder
Blaze Media reports that Mark Winger was finally indicted after a year of his felonious act, which he said was a form of self-defense. However, the robber’s family argued that the shooting did not fulfill the requirements for self-defense.
Thus, Mark Winger was formally charged with murder last Thursday. He was booked into the Harris County Jail the next day. Mark Winger posted a $30,000 bond and was released.
