Ukraine Can’t Survive Without US Military Support
According to the report from Al Jazeera, Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin said Ukraine can’t survive for more than “a week” without Western military and financial aid. President Vladimir Putin made this claim on the same day as a European Union official warned the bloc could not replace the funding gap if the US’s support stopped for Kyiv.
Pres. Vladimir Putin made his remarks on Western support for Ukraine as fears mount that political turmoil in Washington could jeopardize crucial military and humanitarian aid that Ukraine requires to battle Russia’s invasion. Earlier this week, US Pres. Joe Biden admitted that he “does worry” US support for Ukraine may get derailed.
Pres. Vladimir Putin said, during a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, that Ukraine survives thanks to multi-billion donations that come each month from the Western. He added without that support, Ukraine can’t survive. If the aid stops tomorrow, Ukraine will live for only a week when they run out of ammo. Pres. Putin claimed that Ukraine had lost more than 90K troops since Kyiv’s counteroffensive against Russian forces started in June.
