A representative for the Democratic speaker emerita said, “The House has completed voting, and Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi will join Senator Feinstein on her final trip home to San Francisco.”
Together, the two California Democrats served in Congress for many years. They were pals and neighbors back in San Francisco. Sen. Feinstein and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Pelosi’s daughter, were good friends.
Katherine Feinstein, the late senator’s daughter, would also be traveling on the official plane, according to a representative for Feinstein. Her family has not yet made plans for a memorial service.
