New Jet-Powered US Abrams Tanks
SOURCE– Ukrainian tank crews in the eastern front see the first shipment of the new US Abrams tanks to Kyiv to boost protection and firepower in the battle against Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine had received the first delivery of US Abrams tanks to help in the defense against Russia’s invasion.
The US general, Mark Milley, said that the M1 Abrams tanks are the world’s best, with a powerful engine, 120 mm main gun, and special armor. Also, the Abrams tanks are lethal against heavy armor forces. Ukrainian tank crews training said that once they were deployed, Abrams tanks would be a big step up from the Soviet-era tanks they are recently operating. The Abrams tanks have protection against ammunition detonation.
Last January, the US pledged to supply Ukraine with 31 advanced M1A2 Abrams tanks. Pres. Zelensky didn’t say how many Abrams tanks have been delivered. However, the Kremlin said that US military hardware supplies such as Abrams tanks will not change the situation on the battlefield. There is no silver bullet to end wars. They asked more for Western military supplies- including ammunition, artillery, fighter planes, and tanks.
