On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden at the UN General Assembly, urged world leaders to remain united in defending Ukraine against Russia’s aggression. He warned that no nation can be secure if it allows Ukraine to be carved up.
Biden At The UN Asked Leaders To Support Ukraine
SOURCE– President Joe Biden called on world leaders to support and not let Ukraine diminish. Biden said that Russia is counting on countries to grow tired of prolonged conflict in Kyiv that will allow it to brutalize Ukraine. He argued that Moscow’s price for peace was Ukraine’s capitulation, territory, and children. Biden asked the world leaders, “If allowing Ukraine to be carved up, is any nation can be secure.” He answered his question, “No.”
Biden management has asked Congress to greenlight an increased $24 billion in security and humanitarian to assist Ukraine but the Republicans ignored the request as lawmakers scramble to ensure government funding remains flowing after September. Biden’s speech at the UN, ” We need to support Ukraine and continue to stand with the brave people of Ukraine as they fight for their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and freedom.
The US President also repeatedly emphasized the value of institutions, such as the UN and international coalitions that helped the world in fighting the challenges of poverty and disease. Biden believes that the world is safer if we stand together with the five nations.
