The California man who was arrested over the weekend for killing a Sheriff’s deputy in an ambush-style has recently entered a plea of not guilty due to his reason of insanity.
California Man Arrested for the Ambush-Style Murder of Sheriff’s Deputy
The Messenger reports that the California man identified as Kevin Salazar, 29, was arrested for killing a Californian Sheriff’s deputy who was stationed in Palmdale in an ambush-style.
The authorities stated that the California man was the suspect of fatally shooting Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer using a .22 revolver. Moreover, they also stated that the deputy was marking his patrol vehicle at the nearby station of Palmdale, and the California man shot the victim from his own vehicle before he ran away.

California Man Enters Insanity Defense
Reuters reports that the 29-year-old California man pleaded not guilty for reason of insanity to murder on Wednesday in the ambush shooting of the sheriff’s deputy. The California man also denied special allegations, and the authorities did not release a motive for the shooting.
The California man was remanded back to jail. The California man is scheduled for his preliminary hearing in the case that is set for November 7 at the Antelope Valley Courthouse.
If the California man is convicted, he will face life in prison.
