Namira Salim, a Pakistani citizen, is set to embark on Virgin Galactic’s upcoming “Galactic 04” mission launching on October 5th.
Namira Salim Prepares to Embark on a Journey with Virgin Galactic
SPACE reports that next month, Namira Salim becomes the first Pakistani to set forth a journey towards Virgin Galactic with two other astronauts who are Ron Rosano from the United States and Trevor Beattie from the United Kingdom.
Namira Salim is a private astronaut and the founder of Virgin Galactic. Namira Salim completed sub-orbital spaceflight training at the Nastar Centre in the US in 2007.
According to Namira Salim’s website, Branson first introduced her to the press in 2006.

Namira Salim Crew to Join Space Plane with Chief Astronaut Instructor
India Today reports that Namira Salim, one of the Galactic 04 crew, will be joined in the cabin of Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity space plane by Beth Moses. Besides Moses, Namira Salim’s chief astronaut instructor, Kelly Latimer, and CJ will join.
Namira Salim will fly on October 5th, and Sturckow will fly the VSS Unity space plane on Galactic 04, with Nicola Pecile and Jameel Janjua controlling the VMS Eve.
Namira Salim’s mission with Galactic 04 is the fourth commercial spaceflight of Virgin Galactic. The previous three have all launched in the early months of 2023.
