After a protracted chase on the interstate, the Adams County Deputy Office was able to take a male suspect into custody, according to an announcement made by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.

After receiving information about a probable drive-by shooting on Tuesday morning, Adams County deputies reportedly began their pursuit of a man named Lance Rogers, 31 years old, who is a resident of West Richland. The pursuit began on State Route 26 and continued on State Route 261 and then onto Interstate 90 until coming to a halt two miles east of Rtizville.
According to the post, Rogers was behind the wheel of an asphalt truck belonging to the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT), which he is suspected of stealing. Rogers is also under suspicion for committing several other crimes, one of which being a drive-by gunshot. During the pursuit, the post claimed that Rogers pointed a handgun out of the window of the vehicle that had been stolen. During the subsequent pursuit on Interstate 90, the truck caught fire.
According to the article, the incident is still being investigated, and further information will be published here as soon it is received. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol will assist with the investigation.
