Dannette Todd managed to secure one of the 120 sq. feet units in the tiny home village located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She said it was a huge blessing to lived there for the past 6 months. Dannette Todd said, ” When I was sleeping in my car, I felt like a lonely worm.” She didn’t know where to go.
At this time, the tiny home village had strict rules that made it hard for homeless people to move in. But, they removed some rules and waived the $30 monthly rent and utility fee. They restructured the program, and the units in the tiny home village started to become occupied quickly. And now, 26 out of 30 homes are filled in the tiny home village.
