Russia increases its missile production than the United States and Europe where it has exceeded pre-war levels despite Western sanctions and export controls, as reported by The New York Times.
Russia Increases Its Missile Production
According to an article from Mind, US officials said that the production of missiles and other military weapons in Russia slowed down sharply at the beginning of the invasion for at least six months due to Western sanctions. However, the military-industrial production started to pick up again by the end of 2022.
Moscow found a way for American export controls by organizing networks to supply key weapons components to other countries from which they can easily delivered to Russia. Just less than a year after the invasion started, Russia resumed trading in critical parts through shipping to other countries such as America and Turkey. Before the war, Russia produced only 100 tanks, but now it produced 200 unexpectedly.
Resulting that Russia increases its missile production than the United States and Europe. According to the Senior Official, Kusti Salma, the recent rate of missile production in Russia is seven times higher than in the West. Production costs in Russia are much cheaper than in the West. Also, Western sanctions are easy for Russia to circumvent.
