Yvonne St Cyr has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison after being found guilty of civil disorder and a misdemeanor.
Military Veteran, Yvonne St Cyr, Convicted for Involvement in US Capitol Riot
According to NBC Chicago, Yvonne St Cyr, a military veteran, was found guilty of her role in the riot that occurred in the United States Capitol in January 2021.
Yvonne St Cyr believed she had the right to climb over broken glass to enter the Capitol and received a complaint from an FBI agent due to her action.
Due to her actions in the Capitol riot, Yvonne St Cyr was found guilty in March of two felony counts of obstructing and interfering with police during a civil disorder and entering a restricted building. Moreover, Yvonne St Cyr was also guilty of disorderly conduct in a capitol building.

Military Veteran, Yvonne St Cyr, to Serve Prison for 2.5 Years
KTVB reports, that Yvonne St Cyr was sentenced to prison for two and a half years after she was found guilty of two counts. Moreover, Yvonne St Cyr stated in her Facebook Live that she also received 36 months of probation, $2,000 in restitution, and a $1,000 fine that she did not expect as she thought the truth would come to light before her sentencing.
Yvonne St Cyr shared a video before her sentencing, stating that her time in prison would allow her to write a book about the Capitol riot and its reasons.
Yvonne St Cyr will have a date set in six weeks to report in prison.
