Walter Isaacson’s book about the millionaire states that Musk denied Ukraine’s Starlink internet access off the coast of Crimea in September 2022, which disrupted the ongoing military operation.
Thus, the government worries that it is unprecedented for a private citizen to interfere with a military operation in progress.

His involvement in the Ukraine war is concerning as Starlink has supported the Ukrainian war effort with Elon Musk’s SpaceX sending millions of dollars worth of equipment. However, the help has made a wrong turn resulting in civilians getting killed.
