Ukraine’s Military Tactics Against Russia
SOURCE– US officials have expressed concerns regarding Ukraine’s military tactics to combat invading Russian forces. The officials told The New York Times that Kyiv has been deploying too many armies in the wrong places. They said the country’s best combat units are being sent equally to the east and south when they should send more to the south where heavy battles normally occur.
The war-torn nation is reportedly struggling to achieve its main goal of cutting off Russian supply lines in Southern Ukraine by damaging the bridge that connected Moscow and the Crimean Peninsula. The officials encouraged Ukraine to concentrate on Melitopol and Berdiansk in the south. Ukraine’s counteroffensive has been under strict scrutiny because of its slow progress and small gains.
Unidentified US officials said that Ukraine’s counteroffensive has been too slow and hindered by poor tactics and that officials have not publicly criticized Ukraine’s military tactics. But, last week they have seen progress in the southeast. The Ukraine’s counteroffensive strategy against Russia is a suicide mission, several international military observers said. It will not be a short war, and it will take many years to support Ukraine.
