The First Approach of Labor Day Weekends
Both types of Labor Day Weekends are prominently on exhibit in our politics over the Labor Day weekend.
The first approach for Labor Day weekends is to utilize it as a time to make adjustments, reflect on what is and isn’t working in your life, and emerge from the break with a new strategy or focus.
The good news for the remaining GOP candidates is that, according to The Post’s trio, “polling and focus group data show that Trump is beatable in the first two states and that subsequent field consolidation could spell his defeat next spring.”
The Biden campaign: For years, President JOE BIDEN has consistently refrained from discussing DONALD TRUMP’s legal issues, for the obvious reason that Biden promised he’d leave the Department of Justice to do whatever it needs, free from partisan interference.
The Labor Day Weekends First approach is logical from a governance standpoint, but it creates a political quandary.
The Second Approach of Labor Day Weekends
The Biden White House: Talk of a fall impeachment investigation into the president is reaching fever pitch, drawing significant support from the House GOP’s right flank, even as Speaker KEVIN McCARTHY threw cold water on their now-now-now timing demands, saying an inquiry would require a full House vote.
That hasn’t stopped the White House from digging in its heels and preparing for a full-fledged campaign against impeachment.
They’ve been planning for this for a long time, even before the 2022 elections, when it became evident that a House flip was imminent.
