Nikki Haley, a Former South Carolina Governor and a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, told Newsmax on Tuesday that the alleged circumstances at the famed Rice Street Jail in Atlanta, where former President Donald Trump was arrested last week, are “unacceptable.”

The Department of Justice launched an investigation into the Rice Street jail in Fulton County, Georgia, last month due to “credible allegations that an inmate died covered in insects and filth,” that it is “structurally unsafe,” that there have been serious injuries and homicides as a result of widespread “violence,” and that “officers are being prosecuted for using excessive force.”
“They should move them [the inmates] completely,” the former South Carolina Governor said during an appearance on Newsmax’s “The Record with Greta Van Susteren.” “I mean, this is something where you can’t have those kinds of conditions for people who are innocent until proven guilty, and look, the Fulton County Jail has a reputation for being a rough place, but you can’t have innocent people there,” former South Carolina Governor added.
When questioned if Attorney General Merrick Garland had violated his obligations by allowing inmates to remain in such unsanitary conditions, Haley responded, “There are many things happening at the Department of Justice that have been a dereliction of duty.”
There are many things we need to consider, she remarked. The American people no longer trust the Justice Department, and they no longer trust our intelligence agencies. This is another example of that, and the fact that President Biden is allowing that to continue to happen. It’s on his watch, and he should be made to answer for it. Quite honestly, I think we not only need to change the head, but you need to clean out all of senior management.

The former American envoy to the UN also commented on challenger Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s attempt to make fun of the former South Carolina Governor’s Indian name. Ramaswamy responded to Haley’s remarks from the discussion regarding his opinion of the US-Israel relationship on Monday.
Ramaswamy said in a new part of his campaign website, “Keep lying, Namrata [sic] Randhawa.”
The former South Carolina Governor given Indian first name is Nimrata, and her maiden name is Randhawa. Since the former South Carolina Governor was little, she has gone by the middle name, Nikki.
The former South Carolina Governor declared, “I think it’s pathetic and childish.” “Look, he’s living in a fantasy world. He’s the one who said he wanted to abandon Israel, and I said that that’s ludicrous.
