A bumbling alleged arsonist sets himself on fire while trying to burn down a Florida church earlier this month. A large flame bursts around the unidentified man and the video footage shows him stumbling to get away and light the second gas puddle.
An Arsonist Sets Himself On Fire
According to an article, an unidentified man set himself ablaze while trying to burn down a Florida church earlier this month. The unidentified man carried a can of gasoline to the Power Outreach Ministry in Oakland Park around 1:40 a.m. on August 14, showed in a surveillance video that was released by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.
The unidentified man crossed the parking lot of the Oakland church and poured a generous amount of gasoline in two places before leaning down to light one spot, the video shows. A large flame bursts around the unidentified man, the video footage shows that he stumbled to get away and light the second gasoline puddle.
This time, when he lights the second gasoline the fire dances around his legs and goes up into his arms, and quickly flees down the street. Police say it’s still unknown what his motive for attempting to burn the church. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, they immediately extinguished the flames. After the firefighters extinguished the flames, they alerted deputies that the fire incident may have been intentionally set and determined the fire to be arson.
