A Desert Ridge student was recently apprehended for allegedly carrying a firearm to their school. According to reports, another Desert Ridge student alerted the teacher that the individual had displayed the weapon.
Desert Ridge Student Brought a Gun to School
According to AZ Family‘s recent reports, a Desert Ridge student attending in a Mesa High School has been arrested by the police. The reason for the arrest is that the Desert Ridge student has brought a firearm on school grounds.
According to the reports, another Desert Ridge student had alerted the teachers of the school that the Desert Ridge student had shown them a gun.
The news has raised concerns among the school administration and parents. However, the campus was never placed on lockdown, and classes continued as scheduled.

Desert Ridge Student Faces Charges
The Desert Ridge student fled the campus after the school administrators had been notified of his crime. He was later located by a Phoenix Police School Resource Officer in a nearby neighborhood while the gun was located in a backpack in bushes nearby, ABC15 reported.
The police stated that the Desert Ridge student had been charged with misconduct involving weapons and a minor possessing a firearm. However, the Desert Ridge student had not been identified, and it was unclear if the gun was loaded or not.
