The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website recently launched a new system for online crime reporting system.
New Online Crime Reporting System
In a recently published article published by abc7, the online crime reporting system can be used by visiting the sheriff’s office website at www.SarasotaSheriff.org.
By choosing the “File A Report” icon beneath the photo slideshow or the “File A Report” link beneath the Programs and Services banner at the top of the page, you can choose the appropriate tile from the list of categories. The data needed to complete the report will then be listed in a fillable form that can be downloaded.
The sheriff’s office has listed various incidents that are commonly reported, such as scams, property damage, vandalism, etc., even though not all incidents can be filed through the online crime reporting system.
A confirmation email will be issued, according to the sheriff’s office, and personnel will review each case before perhaps getting in touch with those who reported it. Despite the fact that the online crime reporting system is set up to manage a variety of scenarios, victims of violent crimes and offenses must always dial 911.
