Not unclean showers and spooky odd men should be associated with camping; rather, it should bring to mind recollections of the beautiful outdoors and family time. According to TripAdvisor reviewers, these three RV parks and campsites are among the worst in the entire USA. Come at your own risk. From 79 evaluations, 59 of which were “terrible,” this Alaskan park has an extremely poor 1.5-star rating. The filthy facilities, rowdy people, and “terrible management” were all complaints from visitors.

“I grew up in Healy and this is the first time I have stayed at the RV park and will be my last,” stated one local tourist wrote in the visitor book. They added that the toilets were too dirty to use and to sit on them, they were full of hair, gum, a tip, trash bag, and the sinks were just as bad.”One person termed their review a “red flag warning,” writing: “After one night, life is too short for an unpleasant experience! This campground is in appalling shape, abandoned, and lacks administration.

The Kane Creek Campground and RV Park near Moab, Utah, is another 1.5-star RV park. Although it receives excellent marks for location, it does poorly in terms of service and value, and 26 out of the 37 evaluations are rated as “terrible.” According to one reviewer, there was a “drunk guy brandishing his rifle” there, so they advised others to “stay away from this place for your safety.”
“Left a day early even knowing no refunds. Sounds like a plot twist to a bad horror movie,” commented Jennifer M. from Tennessee.
- Buffalo Valley RV Park, Wyoming
160 reviews have given the Fireside Buffalo Valley RV Park in Moran, Wyoming a 2.5-star rating. The park receives 47 “terrible” ratings, 30 average ratings, 36 “very good” ratings, and 18 “excellent” ratings. The staff’s demeanor seems to be the main complaint. Tali T, who visited the park in September of last year, was one of the reviewers who gave it just one star.
She stated: “We do not recommend it at all and will not return. The service here is extremely unfriendly, all the facilities are very basic, and there are very few in comparison to the number of guests.” She was not the only one who had issues with the staff’s attitude. Other than the location, Ken T from Washington wrote: “This place is run and the employees are rude.”
However, other guests enjoyed their stay. Santa Clarita resident David G wrote: “You got to love waking up to spectacular sunrises and a herd of horses having their breakfast. The sunsets were just as awesome. The sites were small, but the rustic atmosphere made up for any shortcomings.”
