A tax break for Boeing CEO Calhoun will make seniors suffer. The council rejected a property tax bill for senior homeowners. But instead, they offer Boeing tax breaks because they feel sorry for Boeing CEO David Calhoun that he didn’t earn his $7 million bonus.
Seniors Asking For A Tax Relief
All four St. Louis County Democrat council members rejected Bill 114 which will give seniors a tax freeze at the age of 62 while the three St. Louis County Democrat council members voted to give seniors a property tax freeze. But later on, the Democrats offered a tax break for Boeing CEO Calhoun for not earning his $7 million bonus.
They said that they do not want to give millionaires tax relief but they felt sorry for the CEO of Boeing who made $22.5 million last year but not earning his bonus. Why did they offer tax relief which has a market cap of $141 billion? But rejected tax relief for seniors. If they paid fairly they can afford to grant the tax relief for seniors.
This tax relief can help 200,000 seniors in the United States. They should grant tax relief for seniors rather than a tax break for Boeing CEO Calhoun that can afford the cost of living. They should choose seniors who are really in need.
