Every August many of the students will feel excited because it is a new semester to say goodbye to parents and move into their dorms. They will meet new friends but all of the excitement will change to worry. Many college students asking- Can college students get food stamps?
Thousand of college students in America worry about where they can get their next meal come from. They can’t afford to buy meals if they will stop the Covid SNAP benefits for students in America. They only rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. They need food assistance to lessen their expenses. They need help.
Many students that come from families are eligible for SNAP benefits but once they attend college there are many requirements they need to pass for them to avail the program. One of the requirements is they need to participate in a work-study program or work at least 20 hours a week in paid employment. They need to endure the burden for them to fulfill academic responsibilities. They have an option not to access programs like SNAP but improper diets harm students’ academic success, according to a source.
