The perpetrator behind an unresolved murder case that occurred 30 years ago has been uncovered using DNA analysis.
Fresno County Homicide Case
According to the reports from the Law and Crime, the victim of the unresolved murder case in 1993 was Bernice Wright, who was only 31 years of age when she was slain in Fresno County, California. Her body was found unclothed in a vineyard at the corner of Orange Avenue and Manning Avenue. The police stated that a gunshot wound and a few stabs were found in her body.
The unresolved murder case was again reviewed in 2021 and found a possible suspect with the help of DNA analysis. The DNA was believed to be pointing the finger at one man in particular, who was identified as Manuel Aguilar Mendoza.
Cold Case Killer
According to KMPH, Manuel Aguilar Mendoza was the alleged suspect in the cold case 30 years ago. He also goes by Miguel Mendoza, Miguel Barragan, Aguilar, Miguel Purvandro Acosta, Miguel Costa, and Manuel Barragan. He was described as a Hispanic man, 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes, and 5’10” tall.
