Massimo Marenghi from Boston gets 10 years in prison after attempting to hire a federal agent, who was posing as a hit man after his wife sought a restraining order.
Massimo Marenghi Gets 10 Years In Prison
Massimo Marenghi 57 years old, who attempted to hire a hit man to end his wife’s life after she pursued a restraining order has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on Monday.
Federal prosecutors said that the sentence that Marenghi received in Boston federal court was the maximum potential under sentencing guidelines.
Waco Tribune-Herald news reported that the acting US Attorney Joshua Levy said in a statement that Marenghi’s manners were “despicable,” and domestic violence is a terror in reality that is far too pervasive in society.
Moreover, Levy also said that Marenghi was ready to engage n the most extreme form of domestic violence by plotting the murder of his wife.

Authorities Began Investigating Massimo Marenghi In January 2021
Authorities started investigating in January 2021 after someone went to law enforcement and claimed that Massimo Marenghi had complained about the restraining order and requested assistance for ending his wife’s life, prosecutors said.
Federal investigators led that person to introduce Massimo Marenghi to an undercover agent posing as a hitman for hire.
The Malden man met with the agent in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, discussed a price of $10,000, provided the agent with a photograph of his wife’s home, and explained how to evade surveillance cameras outside of his wife’s home was its blind spots, and an exit route to evade detection.
Massimo Marenghi deposited money to the agent worth $1,500 for the murdering his wife and provided a photograph of his wife, his wife’s schedule, place of work, home address, and details about her car.
Massimo Marenghi pleaded guilty in March to a charge of murder-for-hire charge.
