According to reports, a man randomly stabbed four individuals in Maryland last weekend before a police officer shot and killed him.
Montgomery County Authorities Lead the Investigation of the Random Stabbing
In a published news by NTD, at a press conference held on the scene on Saturday afternoon, Montgomery County Police Assistant Chief Darren Francke assured reporters that all three of the victims, two of whom had their necks stabbed, are likely to live. Three people were injured and hospitalized. The suspect’s identity has not been made public.
In the stabbings, which began at a well-known thrift store in Silver Spring, Maryland, and subsequently spread to the neighborhood, Mr. Francke claimed the man wielded a 12-inch butcher knife. Detectives don’t think the suspect knew any of the victims, according to Mr. Francke, even though the investigation is still ongoing. The attacks, according to him, “appear completely random.” They have witnesses. Although they are still speaking with the people who witnessed the incident, he said it was an unprovoked attack.

According to Police Reports
Around 10:35 in the morning, police were informed about the stabbing at the secondhand shop. According to authorities, a second caller almost immediately reported a second stabbing on a nearby street.
The suspect ran into the woods, and the police started forming a cordon. After that, according to Mr. Francke, the man “confronted a police cruiser,” and when a second officer arrived on the scene and saw the man wielding a knife, he gave directions before ultimately opening fire and killing the suspect.
According to Mr. Francke, the individual was stopped from attacking more victims after the police shot several bullets. On the spot, the suspect passed away.
