A woman from Verdigris, an Oklahoma town outside Tulsa, reportedly killed her three children and then herself in their home on Thursday evening. The police claim that McCaslin killed her 10 months baby boy, 6-year-old son, and 11-year-old daughter.
According to Initial Reports of Oklahoma Investigators
According to the statement released on Friday afternoon by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the woman, Brandy McCaslin, 39, shot and killed her three children before shooting herself. The deceased were named 39-year-old Brandy McCaslin, and her children, 10 months baby boy Billy, 6-year-old son Bryce, and her 11-year-old Noe.
The triple murder-suicide ensued in the small town outside of Tulsa at around 4 P.M. on Thursday. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) Public Information Manager Hunter McKee stated that a Verdigris police officer saw fireworks coming from a house and called for backup, to which the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service’s SWAT team responded along with multiple law enforcement agencies.
The officers tried to make contact with the armed woman inside, but after no response, they eventually entered the house and discovered McCaslin and her three children dead, all with apparent gunshot wounds.
According to the statement of MCaslin’s long-time friend, the mother of three suffers from mental health and could not believe that her long-time friend committed a triple murder-suicide as she sees her late friend to be a cheerful kind.
