The owner of the Hallmark store said they were forced to close down their store at 240 Greenwich inside the Bank of New York building due to an unreasonably high rent increase of almost 600 percent. Hallmark store has about 2,000 locations across the United States and four other countries.

Not only the unreasonably high rent increase the reason why the Hallmark store decided to close. The other reason many of their retailers have been shutting down is because during pandemic the online order was trending. Many different stores created their own shop online. The customer will just use their phone, click to order, and wait for home delivery. The customers will not hundred percent give their loyalty to the store because there are many shops online they can choose from and order.
