Authorities in Nevada revealed that a search warrant had been executed this week about the nearly 30-year-old murder of artist Tupac Shakur, which has long been unsolved.
According to Police Report
In a report published report of PBS News Hour, one of the most prominent hip-hop artists, Tupac Shakur, was assassinated in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on the evening of September 7, 1996, he was 25 years old at that time. The search warrant was carried out on Monday in the nearby city of Henderson, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. It’s not apparent where they looked or what they were looking for.
Shakur was fatally shot while traveling in a black sedan with Marion “Suge” Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. After being shot several times, he was transported to the hospital, where he eventually died. According to police, the two were stopped at a red light close to the Las Vegas Strip when gunshots broke out when a white Cadillac came up next to them.
In a brief phone contact, department spokeswoman Aden OcampoGomez stated that due to the ongoing investigation, he was unable to share any additional information regarding the most recent development in the case. There have never been any arrests. According to Las Vegas police, the investigation quickly came to a halt as a result of the witnesses’ reluctance to cooperate.
