Homicide: Murder
According to Deborah C. England, murder is one type of homicide. It involves specific elements under the law. The crime of murder is the killing of one human being by another that is either intentional, unlawful and done with malice aforethought. Although the law on murder varies from state to state, common degrees of murder are recognized by state.
The most common types of murder are first and second degree murder. The first degree murder is the most serious of all homicide charges. It applies to situations where someone is accused of killing another person after planning to kill the victim. The second degree murder applies to those cases where someone has intended to kill the victim but didn’t have time to plan it.
