Houston Man Sentenced to 9 Years for Trafficking Fentanyl and Meth from Drug House

A 46-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to 108 months in federal prison for trafficking narcotics, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.

Demitrios Ramon Jerry pleaded guilty to the charges on June 20. U.S. District Judge Lee H. Rosenthal handed down the sentence, which will be followed by five years of supervised release. The court took into account Jerry’s involvement in selling counterfeit Percocet pills containing fentanyl and ecstasy pills containing meth out of a drug house in Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood.

A joint law enforcement operation led to the discovery of Jerry’s illegal activities. Authorities observed crack cocaine, powder cocaine, promethazine syrup, and drug scales inside the house during a search.

Jerry was allowed to remain on bond and will voluntarily surrender to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility in the near future. The investigation was carried out by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with support from the Houston Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stuart Tallichet prosecuted the case.
