Texas man arrested for online threats against Houston Jewish Funerals


BELLAIRE, TX – A Texas man has been arrested for making online threats against Houston Jewish Funerals in an incident that has been classified as a hate crime.

According to the Bellaire Police Department, Saif Tajiran was initially identified after making threatening statements online on October 29, 2024, targeting specific individuals. Investigators were able to gather evidence that led to an arrest warrant on charges of terroristic threats enhanced as a hate crime.

On January 9, 2025, Tajiran was located and arrested without incident through the coordinated efforts of Bellaire’s Criminal Investigations Division, traffic units, and remote operations.
