Another tornado, rated EF-1, touched down in St. Landry Parish. It reached peak winds of 95 mph, traveled 15.6 miles, and spanned 200 yards in width. It snapped trees and caused minor structural damage before lifting near Rosa.
The National Weather Service continues to survey additional areas to assess storm impacts. Reports indicate widespread damage and cleanup efforts are underway.
More updates are expected in the coming days as crews complete assessments of the affected regions. Officials urge residents to remain cautious and report any damage to local authorities.
