Philadelphia, PA – Chilly conditions continue across Pennsylvania today, with seasonable highs around 37°F and clear skies dominating through Friday. However, post-Christmas travel plans could face disruptions as rain moves in this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, today will remain mostly sunny, with light winds from the north at 5 mph. Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low near 21°F. Thursday and Friday will bring continued calm weather, with highs in the upper 30s and lows dipping into the mid-20s.

By Saturday, the region will see increasing cloud cover and a 30% chance of rain in the afternoon, rising to 40% by night. Temperatures will warm significantly, reaching 45°F during the day. Sunday is forecast to bring widespread rain, likely after 1 p.m., with highs climbing to 56°F. Travelers should monitor road conditions and allow extra time for potential delays.

For drivers planning trips on major routes like I-95 or the Pennsylvania Turnpike, visibility could be reduced during peak rainfall Sunday evening. The heaviest rain is expected overnight into Monday, with totals exceeding an inch in some areas.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor holiday decorations and prepare for wet conditions as the week progresses.
