West Memphis, Ark. — A GameStop theft spiraled into a high-speed chase on Saturday, December 21, leaving residents stunned. Around 11 a.m., Arkansas State Police responded to a report of $2,600 in stolen merchandise from a GameStop store in West Memphis.
The suspects, fleeing in a white Nissan Maxima, led police on a dangerous pursuit through residential areas. Speeds topped 100 mph as the vehicle recklessly navigated streets, endangering other motorists. Authorities intercepted the car using a tactical vehicle intervention at Broadway Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police arrested the driver, Dennis Davis, 27, and passengers Davion Lawson, 30, and Bobby Logwood, 33, all from Memphis. Davis faces charges including theft, reckless driving, fleeing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lawson and Logwood were also charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Troopers recovered all stolen merchandise, valued at $2,600. The suspects are currently held at Crittenden County Detention Center.
