The stabbing incident that led man being killed on Friday evening on a MAX train
A man was stabbed and killed last Friday evening on a MAX train by another man who later said to the police that he heard voices and thought the victim was trying to kill him at MAX train.
Police said that Michael Brady, 51, was sitting across the aisle from another passenger on an eastbound MAX train Friday, March 29, at 6 in the evening headed home from work toward 82nd Avenue.
While inside the MAX train, a passenger with a large butcher-style knife abruptly approached and attacked Brady, unprovoked. Brady was stabbed in the shoulder, chest, and abdomen as the MAX train approached the 82nd Ave transit center. He died inside the MAX train.

Police arrested Shondel Larkin, 51 years old at the MAX train on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. In a probable cause affidavit, police stated the suspect hears voices that often bother him.”
The suspect said that he was taking medication for a mental health condition but hadn’t taken it since January.
