Woodhead Pass is closed to traffic due to the risk of snow on Saturday night, January 4. The road is shut in both directions between Flouch and Hollingworth.
The closure has been in place since around 10pm. Motorists are being diverted via the M60, M62 and M1.
The road has been closed as Met Office weather warnings for snow remain in force across Greater Manchester and other areas of the UK. Amber weather warnings are in force throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
