On Sunday at 2:30 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Allegheny and Indiana counties.
“Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches,” can be expected according to the weather service. “The advisory could be upgraded to a warning if the storm track shifts further north, resulting in higher snowfall totals.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes,” adds the weather service. “Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using Twitter @NWSPittsburgh.”
