Update: Weather alert for snow showers in Tompkins County Saturday morning

An updated report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 4:18 a.m. for snow showers until 7 a.m. for Tompkins County.

“Localized moderate to heavy snow showers are occurring this morning across parts of the Finger Lakes Region, Southern Tier of NY, and the Northern Tier of PA. These snow showers are impacting parts of Interstate 81 and New York Route 17/Interstate 86. If traveling, be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions,” according to the weather service.
