GREEN BAY, WI – Light lake effect snow is expected to fall across eastern Wisconsin tonight, causing slippery roads and travel challenges through Monday morning. Travelers along the Lake Michigan shore can expect 0.5 to 2 inches of snowfall, with locally higher amounts possible in areas where snow bands develop.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, snow-covered and icy roads are expected to affect travel on major routes including I-43 and surrounding highways. Snowfall is expected to begin after midnight tonight and continue till Monday morning, affecting early work. Decreased visibility within snow bands can pose additional hazards to drivers.
Temperatures tonight will be near 15°F, with winds reaching 23 mph. Highs on Monday will reach 26°F, with a chance of storms before noon. Motorists are urged to allow extra time for journeys on Monday morning and keep an eye on the latest road conditions 511wi.gov,
