WARREN COUNTY, IL – Snowfall this weekend could make travel hazardous with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect. Roads, bridges and overpasses may be slick from Sunday morning through Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will begin at 6 a.m. Sunday and remain in effect until 6 a.m. Monday. Henderson and Warren counties in Illinois, as well as neighboring counties in Iowa, are expected to receive 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation. Travelers are urged to exercise caution, especially during travel on Monday morning, when conditions are expected to worsen.

Looking ahead, snow showers are expected to taper off Monday morning. However, colder temperatures will persist through the middle of the week, leaving untreated roads icy. The five-day forecast shows the maximum temperature on Monday will be above 20 degrees Celsius, followed by a gradual rise to the mid 30s degrees Celsius by Thursday.
Residents should be prepared for delays and make sure their vehicles are prepared for winter. Stock up on emergency supplies, including blankets and water, and avoid non-essential travel during the advisory period.
