SACRAMENTO, CA – Residents can expect calm weather this weekend, although areas of fog may impact travel late tonight and Sunday morning. The day temperature will be mild and it is expected to remain sunny till the middle of the week.
According to the National Weather Service, tonight’s forecast includes the possibility of scattered fog after midnight. Visibility may be reduced on major routes such as I-5 and Highway 99, requiring caution for early morning motorists. The minimum temperature will be around 41 degrees.
On Sunday, the sky will be partly sunny and there will be fog in the morning, which will clear by afternoon. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 56 degrees, making it a good day for outdoor activities once the fog clears. Sunday night will be clear and the minimum temperature will be around 41 degrees.
The extended outlook shows temperatures steady in the mid to upper 50s, with mostly sunny conditions Monday and Tuesday. Low temperatures will drop into the low 40s overnight. Clear, dry weather is expected to continue through Wednesday.
For those driving or traveling this weekend, fog may impair visibility during the early morning hours, so prepare with extra time and caution. Keep blankets and emergency supplies in your vehicle, especially if driving in rural or foggy areas.
