TALLAHASSEE, FL – Tallahassee residents should prepare for cool mornings this weekend, with the possibility of frost before sunrise on Saturday and Sunday. There will be mostly sunshine during the day but temperatures will be cool, with highs in the high 50s to low 60s.
According to the National Weather Service, frost is expected before 9 a.m. both mornings, with overnight temperatures dropping to around 30°F. The winds will remain calm, which will provide some relief from the cold. Residents should protect sensitive plants and ensure pets are kept indoors overnight.
According to the forecast, the heat is expected to increase gradually till the weekend. Saturday will have a high of 58°F under sunny skies, with a slightly warmer high of 65°F on Sunday. There will be a chance of rain again on Sunday night, with a 50% chance of rain after midnight. The workweek will start off with rain and possible storms through the afternoon on Monday.
Drivers are urged to use caution Monday morning as rain could cause road conditions, especially on major routes like US Highway 27 and Interstate 10.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to drop again by Tuesday, with the high struggling to reach 48°F. Overnight lows will remain in the low 30s for most of the week. Residents are advised to stay informed about weather changes and follow safety tips for frosty conditions.
