Flint, MI – A Flint man is facing multiple charges after the fatal shooting of an Oxford Township psychologist on Christmas Eve.
Malik Letroy Webb, 29, is accused of killing Dr. Barbara Wolf, 71, after she stopped to assist him near Ray Road and North Oxford Road. Investigators said Webb had driven his car into a ditch and fired on Wolf when she approached. Her 38-year-old daughter, a passenger in the vehicle, was also shot.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Webb shortly after recovering a firearm allegedly used in the crime. Webb faces 19 charges, including felony murder, carjacking, and assault with intent to murder.
Sheriff Michael Bouchard called the incident “heinous” and highlighted the risks posed by repeat offenders. A second victim, a 56-year-old Oxford man, was shot in the arm while attempting to help.
Deputies later located another victim, a 39-year-old woman, after Webb attempted to carjack her at gunpoint.
Wolf died from her injuries at a local hospital. Her daughter remains hospitalized, while other victims have been treated and released. Webb’s next court appearance is scheduled for January 6.
