Las Vegas, NV – Temperatures in Las Vegas are set to fluctuate dramatically as two weather systems move through the area.

According to the National Weather Service, highs will peak at 66 degrees on Sunday before plunging to 48 degrees by New Year’s Day. Lows will hover around freezing, dropping as far as 27 degrees Friday night. The forecast predicts a dry holiday weekend with no precipitation expected.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to dress in layers to stay comfortable during these swings. Those attending outdoor New Year’s Eve events should prepare for temperatures in the 50s that will drop into the 40s overnight.

The forecast also indicates sunny skies for much of the weekend, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities during the day. However, chilly nighttime temperatures highlight the need for extra warmth as the week progresses.

As the New Year approaches, locals and tourists alike can plan for a cool, crisp start to 2024.
