Miami, FL – Travelers heading out after Christmas should plan for changing weather, as rain chances increase across South Florida starting Friday. Temperatures will remain mild, but scattered showers could affect roadways, particularly during busy travel times.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday brings a 30% chance of showers, primarily in the afternoon. Highs will hover near 77°F, with east winds picking up to 14 mph and gusts reaching 18 mph. Drivers should anticipate slick conditions, especially on I-95 and I-75, as scattered rain may cause delays.

Saturday will see a mix of clouds and sunshine, with a lower 20% chance of rain early in the day. Highs will reach 77°F, offering better conditions for outdoor plans. Sunday, however, carries a higher 30% chance of rain, with potential afternoon thunderstorms across the region.

Nighttime temperatures will range from the low 70s to upper 60s throughout the weekend, keeping evenings cool but humid. Travelers should prepare for unpredictable weather as gusty winds and passing showers could impact flights or outdoor events.

Looking ahead to Monday, skies clear up, promising mostly sunny conditions and highs near 78°F. This will be a welcome reprieve for residents and visitors alike, allowing for smooth holiday travel as the week begins.
