Man Arrested for Murder After Fatal Plaquemine Shooting of Bazile Mitchell Jr. in Plaquemine
According to the published article in The Advocate, a man was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder after a Plaquemine shooting that killed a man. Deandre Devon Dorsey was charged with second-degree murder for the death of 43-year-old Bazile Mitchell Jr., who was shot around 8 a.m. on Friday near Nadler Street, said Plaquemine Police Chief Stephen Engolio.

Sammie Dorsey Arrested for Obstruction in Plaquemine Shooting Investigation
Sammie Dorsey, Deandre Devon Dorsey’s mother, was arrested Friday for obstructing justice and not reporting the Plaquemine shooting that killed Mitchell. Deandre Devon Dorsey faces similar charges. Chief Engolio says the investigation continues with the potential for more arrests.
